Build an Interactive Board: WhatsApp, SMS, and MMS to a Website (Part 2)

What's this blog post about?

In this project, we are replicating the interactive message board from Part 1 but this time using Vonage AI Studio to handle inbound messages and storing them in an Airtable database. We use a low-code platform that makes it easy for developers and non-developers to build virtual assistants with its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. The application consists of user interaction, receiving the conversation flow, data storage, display, and incorporating moderation systems for message approval or rejection. A Node.js application is used to fetch messages from Airtable and display them on a webpage. We create an AI Studio Agent with WhatsApp integration, build a conversational application with features such as greeting, collecting input, conditions, classification, send messages, and webhook nodes. The application uses webhooks to add messages to the Airtable backend and includes possible extensions for MMS support, SMS support, publishing agent, and more.
