Announcing Vonage Video API Client SDK Version 2.28
The Vonage Video Client SDK has been updated to v2.28.0, introducing a Noise Suppression API that allows developers to deliver higher-fidelity video communications with crystal-clear audio quality at no additional cost. The new feature utilizes a lightweight architecture and prioritizes ease of use and performance beyond what is offered by WebRTC alone. Additionally, the SDK now includes Subscriber 'auto' resolution for Web SDK, which adjusts stream resolutions based on device characteristics, optimizing bandwidth consumption. Larger Video Sessions Capacity has also been introduced, enabling single peer connections that offer improved audio and video quality, reduced operating system resource consumption, and a consistently high-quality experience for all participants. Other new features include MediaStream capabilities, Android 15 Readiness, Advanced audio controls APIs for macOS and Windows SDKs, and optimized SDK size with ML decoupling. The updated SDK is now available to Vonage Video API customers using the standard environment, with plans to roll it out to the Enterprise Environment in early August.
