BlackHat USA 2022 Recap – 25 years of InfoSec

Black Hat USA celebrated its 25th anniversary with the first in-person conference since 2019. The event highlighted some interesting sessions and speakers, as well as cautions and warnings about cybersecurity. While technology has evolved over the years, InfoSec concerns remain similar. Topics discussed included Cyber Safety Review Board, APIs, machine identities, IAM policies, supply chain attacks, and multi-cloud environments. The growing trend of moving to a multi-cloud environment presents challenges in terms of transparency and security, as well as managing an increasing number of non-human identities. Companies need to find solutions to maintain access control for their expanding identity base across multiple cloud platforms.
