RCS is a new protocol for text messaging that offers branded messaging with verified badges, improved deliverability, and increased conversions. With RCS on Twilio Messaging, businesses can seamlessly upgrade from SMS to RCS without any code changes or cost increases (for messages up to 160 characters). The offering also includes the capability to measure and optimize ROI with more reliable delivery receipts and read receipts available natively in Messaging Insights.
