Career Building @ Twilio: The Making of a Software Engineer

Anand Rengarajan shares his journey from an economics graduate with no clear career path, to a Software Engineer at Twilio. Despite having no computer science degree or coding boot camp experience, he leveraged his passion for automating tasks and gained valuable insights into the importance of software in customer experience during his time at Google, Zenefits, and later at Twilio. He was accepted into App Academy's three-month coding boot camp but faced financial challenges that prevented him from attending. Instead, with the support of Twilio's management, he transitioned into a Software Engineering role after proving his skills through side projects and internal tools development.
