Supabase Beta April 2021
In April 2021, Supabase focused on stability, security, and community support. They introduced Light Mode for users with astigmatism or brightly-lit environments. Translations were added to the main repository in Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Nepali, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian languages. Storage API docs built using OpenAPI were released. An experimental server for keeping any Postgres database in sync with Stripe was open-sourced. Community spotlights included threaded comments and SupaScript, a JS ecosystem within the Supabase database. Fireship reviewed Supabase impartially. The main GitHub repo grew 60% by stars, UI Library increased by 175%, and Realtime Server expanded by 39%. They are working on their Workflows engine and migrating components to an open-source UI library for local development and self-hosting.
