ClickHouse acquires PeerDB for native Postgres CDC integration

What's this blog post about?

PeerDB has joined forces with ClickHouse to streamline data movement from Postgres databases to ClickHouse for real-time analytics and data warehousing use cases. The ClickHouse target connector for Postgres Change Data Capture (CDC) was released earlier this year, becoming the fastest-growing connector in usage. PeerDB's acquisition will power the Postgres CDC connector for ClickPipes, enhancing integration and data transfer capabilities between Postgres and ClickHouse databases. The move aims to amplify customer value, bridge the gap between operational (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) databases, and align with both companies' open-source ethos and strong community presence. PeerDB will remain free and open under the same ELv2 license, while existing customers using non-ClickHouse Cloud connectors will have a year to transition before EOL on July 30th, 2025.
