ngrok Introduces Network Traffic Inspection - Available directly from the dashboard

What's this blog post about?

ngrok has introduced a new network traffic inspection feature, called the `Traffic Inspector`, which provides complete visibility into HTTP traffic flowing through an ngrok account from the dashboard. This feature is available in developer preview and allows users to view metadata or full traffic event capture of requests and responses to their endpoints. The Traffic Inspector solves several problems faced by ngrok users, including lack of traffic inspection capability with standalone agents, difficulty accessing remote servers, and limitations in displaying traffic from ngrok Edges. With this feature, developers can debug issues during development, write thorough tests for their applications, and fix issues in production more efficiently. The tool also allows for dynamic turning on and off of full capture without needing to restart agents or remote into infrastructure. The company plans to continue improving the Traffic Inspector with additional capabilities, including replay, filtering, and searching, as well as longer retention periods.
