Live Preview for Gatsby is back (and better) with the new Dev Server

What's this blog post about?

Netlify has introduced a new Dev Server feature for its platform, which provides live previews of changes made in content management systems (CMS) without requiring a fresh build. The Dev Server is designed to be useful for various tech stacks and use-cases, including Gatsby users who migrated from Gatbsy Cloud following the announcement of its End-of-Life. The new feature offers developers easy start and stop capabilities, realtime and historical logs, configurable resource sizing, webhook URLs for content refreshes, and programmatic API access. Content creators and reviewers can access live preview websites via links in their editing dashboards. Currently available in Early Access for paying customers, the Dev Server is expected to roll out to more account tiers and use-cases in the coming months.
