The four elements of video performance

Video streaming performance can be quantified using four basic categories: playback failures, startup time, rebuffering, and video quality. Playback failures measure the number of times a video fails to load due to errors. Startup time refers to how long it takes for a video to begin playing after being requested. Rebuffering is stalling during playback due to insufficient buffering. Video quality can be measured through metrics such as bitrate and resolution, but may require a combination of factors to accurately assess. Tracking at least one metric from each category provides valuable insight into overall video performance.
