LiveKit's Series A: Infra for the AI computing era
LiveKit has secured $22.5 million in funding for its Series A round to develop infrastructure for real-time voice and video-driven AI applications. The company aims to create a flexible, open-source stack that developers can use to build any type of real-time voice or video-based application. In just 18 months, LiveKit has been utilized by over 20,000 developers for various purposes such as emergency dispatch systems, AI assistants, support and service agents in video games, drones, autonomous vehicles, security cameras, door locks, surgical robots, and human surgeons. The funding will be used to expand LiveKit's offerings, develop new products, and cement its position as the default stack for building real-time voice and video applications.
