Introducing Dream – an AI no-code tool to build fully functional web apps and components with natural language

What's this blog post about?

Calix is a sophomore at USC Iovine & Young Academy who has been working on Dream, an AI no-code tool for building fully functional web apps and components with natural language. The platform allows users to create website projects, pages within each project, and sections that can either be design or functionality-focused. Integrations like database storage, authentication, or APIs are built as modular functions. Dream is designed to empower non-technical people to build functional software without coding or facing a steep learning curve. During his hacker residency at LangChain, Calix made significant improvements to the platform's UX, custom integrations, and generation output. He also migrated generation output from HTML/JS to React and pivoted prompting style and context management. Dream is still a work in progress, but it aims to enable non-technical founders, designers, and others to build software that they could never before.
