Pride, prejudice, and active metadata: Why we haven't given up yet

Active metadata is a transformative technology with significant potential for revolutionizing data management strategies. However, the implementation of active metadata has been challenging due to its complex nature and lack of comprehensive standards. Despite these obstacles, emerging solutions like Hasura Data Delivery Network (DDN) demonstrate that the active metadata vision is achievable. Organizations should focus on high-value use cases, build on existing data management investments, and maintain a balance between enterprise standards and domain autonomy to successfully implement active metadata.
