DigitalOcean Managed Databases now support Droplets with 100% dedicated vCPUs for your mission critical workloads

What's this blog post about?

DigitalOcean has expanded its Managed Databases to support General Purpose Droplets, Storage-Optimized Droplets, and Memory-Optimized Droplets. Previously, the service only supported Basic Droplets. The new Droplet types offer 100% dedicated vCPUs and are suitable for mission-critical workloads. Managed Databases with General Purpose Droplets can be used for business applications like e-commerce sites and enterprise SaaS apps, while Storage-Optimized Droplets are ideal for large, high-performance PostgreSQL or MySQL clusters requiring significant storage. Memory-Optimized Droplets provide twice the RAM of General Purpose Droplets, making them suitable for memory-intensive business applications. Pricing details and regional availability information can be found on DigitalOcean's website.
