CSS-Tricks joins DigitalOcean, expanding our commitment to community

DigitalOcean has acquired CSS-Tricks, a frontend development learning site with 6,500 articles, videos, guides and other content. The acquisition will broaden and complement DigitalOcean's existing library of content, furthering its reach with both frontend and full-stack developers. CSS-Tricks will continue operating as a standalone site supported by DigitalOcean, and founder Chris Coyier will support the website in an advisory capacity. This acquisition aligns with DigitalOcean's commitment to community and education, demonstrated through their creation of developer tutorials, hosting community events, and supporting open source initiatives. CSS-Tricks content will remain free and open to everyone, and DigitalOcean plans to continue publishing new frontend content on the site while compensating authors for their contributions through its Write for DOnations program.
