Introducing Datadog Real User Monitoring

Real User Monitoring (RUM) has been added to Datadog's suite of monitoring tools, providing end-to-end visibility into the real-time activity and experience of individual users. This feature complements existing infrastructure monitoring, distributed tracing, log analytics, synthetic testing, and network performance monitoring capabilities. RUM automatically collects data on user interactions, organizes it into pageviews and sessions, and allows for customization with global context attributes. It also enables tracking of user actions and provides a built-in dashboard to visualize and analyze user data. Troubleshooting user-facing issues is made easier by the ability to reconstruct user sessions and examine associated errors, long tasks, and distributed traces. RUM helps businesses make informed decisions based on real user data and aligns with their business objectives.
