Introducing Metrics from Logs and Log Rehydration™

As applications grow in size and complexity, managing the increasing number of logs becomes challenging due to cost and volume fluctuations. Datadog's Logging without Limits™ approach allows users to send all their logs to the platform for observation and filtering on-the-fly. Two new additions to this feature set include Metrics from Logs and Log Rehydration™, which provide more flexibility in monitoring and analyzing log data. Metrics from Logs enables users to create aggregated views of log data by generating metrics from any ingested logs, while Log Rehydration™ allows for the retrieval of archived logs on demand for further analysis or troubleshooting. These features help reduce costs associated with indexing and retaining logs, allowing users to capture all their log data dynamically and retain only the most important ones.
