2018 year in review

In 2018, Microsoft acquired GitHub and IBM purchased Red Hat. Kubernetes graduated from the CNCF incubator program. Notably, Datadog released a new version of its monitoring agent written in Go. The company added numerous features to enhance visibility into systems and applications. These include log management and analytics, support for additional APM languages and visualizations, serverless view, Watchdog feature, and more than 250 integrations. In 2019, Datadog plans to release its Synthetics publicly and graduate .NET and PHP APM tracers from beta status.
