Canary releases with Azure Deployment Manager and Datadog

Microsoft's Azure Deployment Manager (ADM) streamlines canary releases by adding functionality to Azure Resource Manager. ADM allows users to define stages for deployments and use automated health checks to monitor the health of services at specified points within each stage before proceeding to the next step. Datadog, a launch partner for the public preview release of ADM, enables easier setup and more effective canary releases in Azure by using Datadog monitors as automated health checks. Integrating Datadog health checks into ADM deployments is easy, allowing users to utilize existing monitoring services and quickly investigate root causes of failed health checks. By setting up composite monitors for each phase of an ADM Rollout, users can leverage all relevant monitoring data they're already collecting with Datadog and get more flexibility and control over defining their ADM health checks.
