Enhancing Security with IAM Roles in Confluent Managed Connectors

Confluent has introduced AWS IAM role integration for managed connectors to enhance security measures in cloud environments. This feature allows the adoption of temporary security credentials, reducing both the risk of long-term credential exposure and operational burden of key management. The integration simplifies access management for data flows between AWS and Confluent Cloud. By using roles to delegate access, users can create secure connections between source or sink resources on AWS and Confluent Cloud for data ingestion or transfer. This feature is now available as part of the Confluent Cloud API.
