Coder v1.13: JetBrains Projector, Default Images, code-server 3.6.2
A Meetup is planned at the Austin Office, with interested attendees or speakers encouraged to sign up. The event will take place on September 24th, 2024. Coder Enterprise v1.13 has been released, significantly improving the developer experience for those using JetBrains-based IDEs. This release includes support for all JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, etc.) powered by Projector, an open source project by Jetbrains that runs Swing apps on a remote web server. Non-Swing-based IDEs such as Eclipse and MonoDevelop are no longer supported in the browser but can still be used via Coder's local file sync. A default images library has been introduced to make it easier for users to start new projects in Coder, with predefined images available for environments using IntelliJ, PyCharm, Jupyter Notebooks, and more. Users can also contribute their own Docker images to the image library on GitHub. The release includes updates to Coder Enterprise's user interface, including a new environment creation panel in Coder v1.13.
