Introducing the Coder Backstage Plugin

The Coder Backstage Plugin is a tool that helps organizations build their internal developer platforms by centralizing metadata across different services. It aims to increase developer productivity by saving time and enhancing collective knowledge within engineering teams. Developers spend most of their time in IDEs, and the plugin focuses on improving development environments by addressing common issues such as onboarding, lag/latency, inconsistency, partial environments, and slow builds and tests. The Coder platform is open-source and self-hosted, allowing developers to set up secure remote environments quickly. It supports various IDEs, infrastructure types, and dependency definitions using devcontainer.json in the git repository.
