Flexible & Correct Identity Access Control Models
Authzed and SpiceDB are tools designed to help developers manage permissions and identity access control in their applications. The founders of Authzed were inspired by Google's Zanzibar paper, which describes a distributed system for managing permissions. They built an open-source implementation of Zanzibar called SpiceDB, a graph database for managing security-critical application permissions. SpiceDB is unique in its flexibility and ability to support various access control models. It also allows users to model their own identities and use multiple identity providers. Authzed's managed service delivers a fully managed platform to validate application permissions.
