Cloudflare announces a new feature for its customers - Retro Scan, which allows scanning of old messages in Office 365 Inboxes for potential threats. The tool employs advanced machine learning models and is free to use. Customers can navigate the Cloudflare dashboard to access the Retro Scan option under the Area 1 tab, providing necessary authorizations for message scans. The retro scan detects and highlights any threats found within inboxes, enabling customers to clean up their mailboxes by addressing them through their email accounts. Additionally, it provides information about targeted employees and threat origins. As of now, Retro Scan is available only via a closed beta program; interested users can reach out to their Cloudflare contact for access. After using the retro scan, customers have the option to purchase Cloudflare Area 1 or sign up for a free trial of phishing risk assessment for better mailbox protection.
