Project Galileo and The Global Cyber Alliance Cybersecurity Toolkit for Journalists
Cloudflare's Project Galileo, launched in 2014, provides free security products to over 1,500 targeted groups worldwide, including human rights defenders, independent media, journalists, and democracy-strengthening organizations. In the past year alone, there have been more than seven billion cyberattacks against Project Galileo journalism and media sites. To improve online safety for these vulnerable groups, Cloudflare has partnered with the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA), an international nonprofit dedicated to addressing systemic cyber risks. Together, they offer a free Cybersecurity Toolkit for Journalists, which includes DNS Security with WARP, end-to-end encryption with Cloudflare SSL, and Cloudflare for Teams products Access & Gateway. These tools help protect journalists' sensitive information and sources from cyberattacks while enabling them to report news safely online.
