Project A11Y: how we upgraded Cloudflare’s dashboard to adhere to industry accessibility standards

Cloudflare has announced an improved dashboard experience for users with disabilities, adhering to industry accessibility standards such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The company's team and partners have worked on incorporating accessibility features that meet these guidelines. This includes re-writing form components, improving data visualizations for keyboard and screen reader users, correcting page structure with heading tags, properly labeling SVGs, updating node modules, overhauling color usage, and fixing bugs related to incorrect HTML element use. The company aims to make the Cloudflare dashboard accessible to as many people as possible, including those with low vision or blindness, motor disabilities, or cognitive impairments.
