Post-quantum cryptography goes GA
Cloudflare is rolling out General Availability of post-quantum cryptography support to its customers, services, and internal systems in response to the growing importance of encryption on the internet. This technology offers fast connections and future-proofed security against potential quantum computer threats that could break current cryptography methods. The rollout includes products such as Pingora for origin connectivity, 1.1.1.1, R2, Argo Smart Routing, Snippets, and more. Cloudflare aims to have all systems supporting post-quantum outbound connections by the end of March 2024, while also continuing work on implementing support in other products including Cloudflare Gateway, DNS, Load Balancer, Access, and Always Online.
