Announcing Cloudflare TV as a Service

Cloudflare has announced that it is making its technology for running a 24/7 streaming video channel available to other businesses. The company launched Cloudflare TV in June 2020, focusing on topics related to building a better internet and the people working towards this goal. Since then, over 1,000 live shows have been hosted on the platform. The technology behind Cloudflare TV includes Brave for managing live content transitions, Zoom for facilitating live sessions, Cloudflare Workers for handling various tasks, Cloudflare Stream for video asset management, and Cloudflare for Teams for securing access to internal dashboards and admin interfaces. The company is also working on an overhauled version of the platform called Cloudflare TV 2.0, which will leverage new technologies such as its Real Time Communications Platform and Stream Live for video encoding and syndication.
