Cloudflare Snippets is now available in alpha
Cloudflare has announced that its new feature called Snippets is now available in alpha and will be opening access to a waiting list in the coming weeks. Snippets are small pieces of user-created JavaScript run by Cloudflare before serving a website, API or application to users. They enable more complex customizations compared to existing rule products and offer various features such as operating within the Ruleset Engine and being cumulative in nature. Unlike Workers, Snippets are lightweight and have limitations on execution time, memory, and package size. However, they are available across all plan levels at no extra cost, making them a valuable addition to Cloudflare's offerings. Users can write, preview, deploy, and test Snippets in the dashboard or via API/Terraform. The company is looking forward to seeing innovative use cases that customers will create with Snippets.
