Benchmarking Edge Network Performance: Akamai, Cloudflare, Amazon CloudFront, Fastly, and Google

Cloudflare recently conducted a measurement experiment using Real User Measurement (RUM) data from the standard browser API to test the performance of its network and others in real-world conditions across the globe. The results show that Cloudflare is #1 in almost all cases, whether looking at all networks on the globe or the top 1,000 largest or most active ones. The company plans to continue measuring and optimizing its network to ensure it remains the fastest worldwide.
