Global Partnership: Democratizing Data & Location Intelligence for Development
The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data is a network of over 300 organizations working together to democratize global data access and achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. The partnership aims to harness global data and make it more open for those looking to achieve the SDGs, with a focus on Location Intelligence as a key component in the open technological ecosystem necessary for attaining the goals. A Data for Development Festival is being held in March, followed by the Bristol Data Dive, which will challenge data scientists and development practitioners to use Location Intelligence tools to identify pressing transportation and mobility problems in cities like Bristol and Bogota. The Global Partnership is also revamping its API Highways project to standardize APIs and open datasets, providing a hub for collaboration and making it easier for partners to work together.
