Buildkite’s New Values (and what your company can learn from our process)

Buildkite recently reevaluated its company values, finding that they were too numerous, not actionable, and didn't reflect the current state of the company. The previous values were more like attributes than principles guiding behavior. In response, Buildkite revised its values to be simple, aspirational, and relevant to both employees and customers. The new values are: Bring the weird, Be real with each other, Empower others, Maintain momentum, It's ok to break production, but not people, and Build it together.
