Animated Gifs in Your Log Output
On May 8, 2015, the founders and co-CEO announced that Terminal, an open source log renderer, now supports inline image embedding in build logs. This feature allows developers to quickly diagnose problems during development by directly embedding images from integration tests, performance analysis tools, or other visual results. To use this feature, update your build scripts with the appropriate ANSI escape codes and ensure that your build is configured to upload images as artifacts. A reusable bash function for outputting the correct codes is also provided. Additionally, a capybara-inline-screenshot Ruby gem has been released to automatically embed Rails application test failures in inline images.
