2020: Year in review

In 2020, BrowserStack adapted to remote work by launching new features, adding data centers, and acquiring Percy. They added three new mobile and desktop data centers in Mumbai, Sydney, and Frankfurt to improve testing speed for their global customer base. They also launched SpeedLab, a free tool that helps developers test website speed across various browsers and devices simultaneously. BrowserStack introduced support for Cypress on Automate, becoming the first cloud infrastructure for running Cypress test automation out of the box. In July, they acquired Percy, a visual testing and review platform, to help teams automate visual testing and deliver pixel-perfect UI with confidence. They hosted their first virtual summit, Breakpoint, which attracted 10,000 registrations from 155 countries. BrowserStack also released Visual Reviews 2.0, an upgraded version of Percy's visual review experience, and sponsored over 1,270 open-source projects. They received recognition as a leader in the Test Automation Software category by G2.
