PRI vs SIP
Primary Rate Interface (PRI) and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) are two technologies used for telecommunications. PRI is an older, wired technology that uses physical circuits to transmit calls, messages, and data. It supports up to 23 concurrent communication channels. SIP, on the other hand, is a wireless technology that uses the internet rather than a physical connection. Both technologies can provide solid call quality, but businesses are increasingly ditching PRI for SIP due to its advantages in availability, scalability, cost, and access to new technologies.
