PII Redaction and Accuracy Improvements

AssemblyAI has introduced enhanced PII Redaction policies for its API, allowing users to specify exactly what they want redacted from transcriptions. The list of available redaction policies has been expanded to 20, with more on the way. Users can now customize how redacted PII is replaced, making it more user-friendly and readable. These same PII Redaction Policies also apply to audio files, where parts containing sensitive information are muted. AssemblyAI's neural network has received significant accuracy improvements for call, video, and podcast content, outperforming competitors like Google Cloud's Speech-to-Text and AWS Transcribe.
