BI data indexing from PostgreSQL: Use case & solution | Algolia

In this article series by Mátyás Budavári, a software developer at Starschema, the author discusses an example of using Algolia in combination with PostgreSQL. The company developed a service to improve data analysis and presentation process by enabling individuals or teams to curate and collaborate with customized shared workspaces. They collect audit logs for security purposes and need to extract information from these logs without granting access to the raw data. To achieve this, they decided to use Algolia as the search index and plan to create a new table in PostgreSQL that stores the filtered data yet to be sent to Algolia. In part two of the series, the author will put the plan into motion by setting up triggers, seeding test data, and handling syncing data from PostgreSQL to their Algolia Index.
