PostgreSQLĀ® 12 performance on GCP and AWS [Benchmark]
Aiven has conducted a performance benchmark of PostgreSQL version 12 on Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The tests measured the performance in terms of speed, cost variations, and effects of adding CPUs while adjusting RAM and storage upward to write performance. Results showed that GCP was the leader in all plans except for Startup-4, where AWS led by 16.76%. Overall, Google had better cost performance due to its generally better performance on GCP.
