The program aims to accelerate the release of eligible alpha connectors as quickly as possible, making the free Alpha and Beta connector program more valuable. Criteria for releasing a connector on Airbyte Cloud include being "cloud appropriate," passing tests, proper configuration, providing metadata, and using encrypted traffic.
