Agora vs. Zoom: A Comprehensive Comparison of Video SDKs

The performance of Agora and Zoom's video SDKs were compared in four scenarios - 1:1 Desktop PC Video Calls, Multi-Party Desktop PC Video Calls, Multi-Party Mobile Video Calls, and Multi-Party Web Video Calls. In all scenarios, Agora outperformed Zoom, demonstrating more stable frame rates and bitrates under varying network conditions. The advantages of Agora's SDK became more pronounced in challenging conditions such as limited bandwidth, jitter, and packet loss. This is due to the fact that Agora runs on a global SD-RTN (Software Defined Real Time Network™), which uses AI to intelligently route traffic for optimal performance even when local network conditions are poor.
