Aerospike 4.5: Persistent Memory and Compression
Aerospike has released version 4.5 of its open database supporting Intel Optane DC persistent memory based on Intel's new 3D XPoint technology. This release is the first commercially available open database to support this new class of storage technology, which provides extremely low-latency, high durability, and strong data consistency. Aerospike's tiered architecture allows multiple deployment environments, including using it as a primary key index layer. Additionally, version 4.5 introduces in-database compression with three different mechanisms to choose from: Snappy, LZ4, and Zstandard.
