A vendor neutral open approach to decoupled data synchronization
The article discusses the challenges faced by engineers in keeping two or more devices in sync, particularly when dealing with heterogeneous systems and streaming data delivery between different parties. It highlights that while some progress has been made in terms of transports used to deliver realtime data, little progress appears to have been made to help decoupled parties synchronize their data over streaming transports. The author proposes an open protocol for decoupled data synchronization and invites participation from the industry and community to shape this specification.
