Global service now in beta
Ably has reached a significant milestone with the beta launch of its global realtime messaging service. Currently operating out of 8 regions and 20 data centers, users can expect extremely low latencies and 100% redundancy. The platform offers both realtime and REST client libraries in every popular language, including Javascript, Node.js, Java and Android, Go, iOS, Ruby, PHP, Python etc. However, the documentation is not up to date, and some client libraries are slightly behind the specification. Despite these shortcomings, Ably's realtime platform is ready for use in non-production environments, with a free production-ready account available upon signup.
